Quality Assurance Inspector to work at our client's location.

Here are some key requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Production Floor Monitoring:
Actively monitor production floor operations, including equipment like abrasion peelers, dicers, conveyors, and optical sorters, to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards (FSSC 22000, HACCP).
Identify and report deviations in processes or equipment performance to the QA Manager promptly.
Produce Inspection:
Perform visual and sensory inspections (e.g., smell, texture) on incoming raw produce to detect spoilage, damage, bruising, or other quality issues before acceptance.
Collaborate with the Shipper Receiver team to verify inspection findings and ensure only compliant materials enter production.
Chemical Management:
Add chemicals (e.g., sanitizers, wash solutions) to production lines as required, ensuring correct concentrations to maintain food safety and equipment hygiene.
Conduct chemical titration to verify solution strength, ensuring compliance with HACCP and company standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Complete QA-related documentation, including inspection checklists, temperature logs, chemical usage records, and quality control forms, to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance.
Report inspection results, chemical titration data, and production floor observations to the QA Manager for review and action.
Quality and Safety Compliance:
Follow workplace safety (WSIB) and food safety (HACCP) protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses.
Assist in implementing corrective actions for non-conformances identified during inspections or monitoring
Work closely with QA Technicians, production staff, and Shipper Receivers to ensure seamless quality control across all stages of processing.
Support QA training for production employees on basic quality and safety practices as need.
Additional Duties:
Perform other tasks as assigned by the QA Coordinator, such as assisting with special audits, supplier verifications, or supporting regulatory inspections.
