Job Title: Product Architect
Location: Scarborough, Ontario
Duration: 06 Months
Pay Range: 50 to 57CAD/ Hr. on T4 (Open for Inc.)

This role involves coaching and mentoring team members in scrum practices, software craftsmanship, and organizational norms. The candidate will design, develop, document, deploy, and maintain data pipelines, as well as collect, analyze, and profile various batch and streaming data sources. They will lead master data management efforts and actively participate in meetings to improve processes and collaboration. The role requires working with stakeholders to refine ideas into actionable work items and collaborating with Data Ops to automate code analysis, testing, building, and deploying. The candidate will also manage, groom, and prioritize technical debt.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expert experience with Google Cloud, RDBMS, Python, No-SQL DBs, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Expert experience with Python and SQL, focusing on data manipulation and analysis.
  • Expert experience in building, deploying, and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Expert experience in software craftsmanship, behavior-driven development (BDD), and unit testing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful and lasting collaborative relationships.
  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure services, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong experience with MongoDB, Big Query, Jira, Git, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, GCP Deployment Manager, Apache Airflow, Apache Beam, and Apache Spark.
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with additional cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Coach and mentor team members in development practices and organizational norms.
  • Design and maintain data pipelines and manage data sources.
  • Lead efforts in master data management and participate in process improvement meetings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Data Ops to refine and automate processes.
  • Manage technical debt and ensure the team's work aligns with business goals.
