We are seeking a dedicated IT / Database Security Analyst with experience in Information Technology to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing and tuning database technologies and ensuring data protection compliance. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong analytical skills to assess and enhance database security controls.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years of IT experience, particularly with Client-Server architecture on Windows and Linux servers.
• 1-2 years of experience assessing database security controls using tools like Imperva, IBM Guardium, or Qualys.
• Experience with database activity monitoring tools.
• Experience performing data discovery activities on structured data repositories.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud native DB services and on-prem database platforms such as Oracle, SQL, DB2, and PostgreSQL.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of data protection regulatory requirements and emerging trends.
• Familiarity with industry-leading data protection tools and data management practices.
• Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Optimize and tune database technologies to enhance performance and security.
• Assess and implement database security controls using both manual processes and automated tools.
• Conduct data discovery activities to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud and on-prem database services.
