We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Engineer in our Information Technology department. This role involves working in a dynamic environment, contributing to the effectiveness of the team, and supporting agile product development through DevOps practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered):

  • Proficiency in DevOps practices, including continuous integration, infrastructure deployments, application code packaging and deployments, and test automation.
  • Experience in development using Java, NodeJS, JavaScript, and .NET.
  • Expertise in creating, integrating, and supporting automated build and deployment pipelines in Jenkins, working with Java, NodeJS, .NET.
  • Experience with build tools such as Maven, Ant, NPM.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for cloud virtual machines using Open Stack, Cloudify, AWS, Azure, Bluemix, or Google Cloud for development and production environments.
  • Scripting skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell, YAML.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required):
  • Experience with configuration management and containerization solutions such as Salt, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Mesos, OpenShift.
  • Proficiency with JIRA and knowledge of monitoring systems like Nagios or AppDynamics.
  • Understanding of networking (routing, load balancing, firewalls), and storage (local, NAS, SAN) within lower environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role):
  • Actively contribute to the team's effectiveness and positive work environment.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept efforts and propose solutions to improve technical delivery.
  • Assist in analysis, testing, and implementation of business solutions.
  • Build and maintain DevOps capabilities to support agile product development, including automated build, infrastructure, and application deployments.
  • Coordinate technical changes across teams for successful and timely delivery of projects.
  • Ensure documentation is prepared, accurate, and compliant with standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Support and manage project application environments.
  • Prioritize and manage workload to meet delivery dates.
  • Support the team by continuously developing knowledge in own area.
  • Triaging and escalating issues where necessary to ensure a high level of service is maintained.
