The Abacus Teacher at Best Brains is a part-time position responsible for teaching abacus techniques and related mathematical concepts to children, typically aged 5 to 14. This role focuses on providing a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment that helps students improve their mental math skills, concentration, and overall academic confidence.

Key Responsibilities:



Instruction:

Conduct interactive and engaging abacus lessons for small groups of students, following the Best Brains' curriculum and teaching methodology.

Curriculum Delivery:

Introduce new concepts and skills each week using the provided teaching materials.

Student Support:

Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners and provide one-on-one attention as required.

Progress Tracking:

Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents regularly.

Classroom Management:

Foster a positive, encouraging, and respectful learning environment.

Communication:

Maintain open and clear communication with parents to discuss student performance and address any concerns.

Required Qualifications:



Experience working with children in an educational, tutoring, or mentoring capacity. Strong knowledge of abacus techniques and fundamental mathematical concepts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple, engaging manner. A passion for teaching and a genuine desire to help students succeed.

Additional Information:



This is a part-time position with flexible hours, often scheduled after school and on weekends. Best Brains provide all necessary curriculum and training materials. The role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a student's cognitive and mathematical development.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
