ArtiSonata Studio is seeking a passionate and experienced

Chinese Teacher

to join our educational team. The successful candidate will teach Traditional Chinese at a level equivalent to Hong Kong Primary 1 to Primary 6 curriculum. We are looking for someone who is committed to student growth, enjoys working with children, and is skilled in fostering language skills in a creative and engaging way.

Job Overview:

As a Chinese Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment where students can build a solid foundation in Traditional Chinese -- including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. You will help students develop vocabulary, grammar understanding, reading comprehension, and writing techniques, while building their confidence and interest in the Chinese language.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach in Traditional Chinese characters, using Cantonese or Mandarin (or both) as the language of instruction Guide students in mastering core Chinese skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing Help students expand their language knowledge, including vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, writing, etc. Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation Monitor student progress through observations, assignments, and assessments Prepare and submit progress reports to track each student's development Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and learning goals Manage classroom behavior with consistency and care

Requirements:

Must have prior Chinese teaching experience (e.g. primary school) Able to teach in Cantonese or Mandarin (or both) Teaches using Traditional Chinese characters Familiar with Hong Kong primary school Chinese curriculum and teaching materials Strong communication skills and ability to engage with both students and parents Able to write clear and professional progress reports Good classroom management and student motivation skills Patient, responsible, and passionate about education A degree in Education, Chinese Language, or a related field is preferred

Hourly Rate:

$20 - $25per hour (depending on qualifications and experience).
