Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class #1 Truck Driver to join our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes within Eastern Canada and the Eastern US, while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

• Operate heavy trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo details as required by law.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
• Perform basic maintenance on the vehicle, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

Skills

• Proficient in freight transportation with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
• Experience in Transportation is required, minimum 3 years (verifiable)
• Valid commercial driving license (Class #1) is required for this position.
• Knowledge of mechanical repair principles is a plus, enabling effective troubleshooting of vehicle issues.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and dispatchers effectively.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $1,415.00-$1,576.00 per week
