High School Physics Tutor
Job Description
Scholars of West Vancouver is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic part-time Physics Tutor to join our team to teach high school students. As a tutor at Scholars, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students, both personally and academically. We take pride in delivering results that matter to all of our students, and our teachers play a key role in this journey. The successful candidate will be trained on Scholars' teaching methodology. Candidates must be confident teaching high school concepts up to grade 12. If you're looking for a rewarding and challenging work environment, we want to hear from you!
Here's what we're looking for:
? A British Columbia Certified Teacher is preferred
? Candidates in a Bachelors of Education program or university designation towards Math (Calculus), Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are encouraged to apply.
? Previous experience working with students is a must.
? Excellent English oral and written skills.
? A passion to help students reach their potential.
? Exceptionally organized and high attention to detail.
? Ability to teach groups of up to 3 students.
? Must be able to teach Physics up to grade 12.
? Ability to teach other subjects (Math Foundations, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology) would be an asset.
? Technical experience teaching STEM is an asset.
? Candidates must be available a minimum of two days between Monday - Thursday, 12:00 - 8:00 pm and Saturdays between 9:00 - 2:00 pm
