High Risk Youth Worker
Job Description
We are searching for extremely qualified and experienced mental health professionals to assist us in providing individualized one on one care to our clients. We work with high-risk youth suffering from a wide range of physical and mental health conditions including ASD, Behavioural Misconduct, Aggression, Depression/Suicidal ideations as well as youth involved in the justice system.Applicants must be skilled in verbal de-escalation, therapeutic conversations, as well as strong crisis management.Requirements - A minimum three years of experience, valid NVCI physical intervention training, as well as a degree relevant to the field (Psychology, Child & Youth Worker, Social Work, etc).Job Types: Casual, Part-time, Full-timeSalary: $26.00-$30.00 per hourSchedule:
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Have you participated in a physical intervention to ensure client or staff safety?
- Has a client ever became physically aggressive towards you?
- Has a client ever became verbally aggressive towards you?
- Have you worked with clients possessing self-harm/suicidal tendencies?
- Do you have experience working with youth involved in the justice system?
- Youth Worker: 3 years (preferred)
