Vertex is currently accepting applications for fulltime High Pressure Boiler Operator in Kola, MB. Candidates are required to have Boiler Operator working experience. The successful candidate must have experience working in plant and field environment and have valid oilfield safety tickets. Ideal candidates will be willing and able to work in semi-remote settings on a variety or complex project sites. Experience operating Vacuum truck and fluids hauling considered an asset.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  
• Class 1/3 license with a clean commercial abstract
• Boiler Operator: 1+ year experience
• Experience operating vacuum trucks and fluid hauling considered an asset, but willing to train the right person
• Mandatory safety tickets required: CSTS 20, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space & CSO
• Minimum 1 year oilfield experience preferred
• Must be able to operate boiler unit/equipment, secure processes, maintain water conditioning equipment and ensure the safe and efficient production and delivery of all services produced and provided
• Must be able to make multiple rounds to observe gauges and make necessary adjustments
• Must be able to start-up or shut down boilers as required
• Must be able to adjust gas pressure regulator for required pressure
• Must have MB and SK High Pressure Boiler Tickets, or be able to acquire

RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  
• Drive and operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner
• Ability to demonstrate competent operation of equipment
• Participate in safety program by ensuring all company and customer policies & procedures are adhered to
• Attendance and participation in toolbox and safety meetings, FLRA’s, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips
• Willing to work as a team player with coworkers, contractors, and customers
• Ensure customer and client satisfaction by always providing excellent customer service
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Ensure all safety certificate training are up to date
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, waste manifests etc.
• Travel is required and driving will occur in all weather conditions to various customer and/or Vertex worksites
• Ability to lift heavy tools and parts
• Must be able to work at heights of more than 6 feet and confined spaces when required
