Job Description


OCL Specialty Service is currently looking for a Field Supervisor to join our growing team. Our Field Supervisors are responsible to ensure the safe set up and execution of high pressure water blasting equipment, leading jobs with a crew of experienced operators & labourer to support.

This position supports the high-pressure specialty service and we travel to the work \xe2\x80\x93 the majority is located in Alberta with the occasional job in Manitoba, Saskatchewan or British Columbia. Travel is paid and per diem is provided each job!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Live OCL\xe2\x80\x99s value of DOING IT RIGHT & never compromising on safety, quality and relationship building
  • Mentor and train newer staff on proper operating procedures and techniques and ensure employees are deemed competent to complete their tasks
  • Provide supervision and planning in the successful completion of projects. Oversee the execution, manpower, equipment, material needed and quality control
  • Perform safety audits of projects to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices
  • Proactively manage and review the project crews and ensure they are meeting the goals and requirements of the contract
  • Ensure equipment is safe, maintained, inspected and used correctly.
  • Plan, direct and participate, when applicable, in day-to-day work activities to ensure that established goals and objectives are met
  • Report on problems and the solutions to Management
  • Report all injuries and incidents immediately to appropriate company personnel (and customer representatives when required).
  • Enforce and ensure compliance to Health & Safety and Work practices
  • Enforce equipment maintenance schedule and advise when repairs are required
  • Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience operating high pressure equipment in an industrial setting and experience in
  • supervision
  • Proven ability to manage a job/activities from start to finish, in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, attention to detail, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly effective at building and managing client relationships
  • Flexible, willing to work long hours if required. Willing to travel.
  • A self-motivated individual that requires minimum supervision and with goal and team-oriented attitude
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & PDF documents
  • Have & maintain a valid drivers license, and acceptable drivers abstract
