About the Role
We're hiring a skilled
Heavy Tow Truck Operator
to join our growing team! You'll operate heavy-duty tow trucks to recover, transport, and assist vehicles of all sizes safely and efficiently. If you have strong mechanical knowledge, a clean driving record, and great customer service skills -- we want to hear from you!What you'll do
Handle heavy recoveries: uprights, winch-outs, jackknifes, tractor/trailer tows Run smart, safe rigging (load calcs, chains/straps, snatch blocks, spreader bars) Coordinate on-scene with police/fire/MTO; set and manage safe work zones Complete photo documentation and notes in our dispatch app Do thorough pre/post-trip inspections Share your know-how with light-duty teammates when needed
Must-haves
Recent heavy tow experience (rotator/boom/wheel-lift on Class 7/8) Ontario DZ with Z endorsement and a clean abstract Steel-toe boots and a safety-first mindset Strong recovery judgment and rigging math Lives in Ottawa or nearby (to hit quick response timelines) TSSEA tow driver certificate (or working toward it)
