JOB - AUGER TRUCK OPERATOR (CLASS 1)

Full Time, 50 hours weekly.

Work Location: 173 Resource Rd. Goffs, Nova Scotia

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform skilled work of the Auger Truck Operator in drilling holes in soil to install guide rail posts

Select and attach drill bits and changing drill bits as needed. Operate controls to stabilize machines and to position and align drills

Regulate air pressure, rotary speed, and downward pressure, according to the type of soil, rock or concrete being drilled.

Follow verbal and written procedures with accuracy and attention to detail

Conduct daily preventative maintenance and assist in the coordination of required repairs of all heavy equipment

Accomplish minor labor duties as required such as picking up raw materials and/or deliveries to fence crews on site or etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years of Truck Driving required.

Previous experience operating Heavy Equipment would be an asset.

Valid Class 1E driver's license with air endorsement and have a good drivers abstract

Ensure and display a detailed and thorough understanding of the National Safety Code, including but not limited to permitting, hours of service, weights and measurements and load securement

Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with the manager and fellow employees

Ability to work outside in heat/cold environment, PPE is supplied
