Position Scope

NACG is looking for Tractor Operators to work on a remote mining site in the Fort McMurray area. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.

Site: Fort Hills

Schedule: 14x7 - 12 hours (paid for 11.5 hours) (14 days on, 7 days off, 14 nights, 7 days off)

Accommodations: Camp provided

Transportation: Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts)

Overtime: Provided after 8 hours a day or 44 hours a week

Suncor Incentive Pay: $75/ day, paid out at the end of every month.

The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience operating tow tractor pulling various attachments
• Must have experience with compaction equipment
• Must be able to operate large heavy duty agriculture tractor pulling hydraulic attachments
• Must be fluent in English. Written and spoken
• High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset

Summary

All successful candidates must: * Be proficient in English, both verbally and written

• Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Have experience as requested as mentioned above
• Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
• Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:

• Breath Alcohol Test
• Urine Drug Test
• Fitness-to-Work Assessment
• Audiometric Testing
• Vision Screening
• Criminal Record Check

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date: * CSO or BSO Certification

• Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Copy of recent Driver's Abstract
• VOID cheque/direct deposit form
• Silica Awareness
• Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness

Once dispatched the following processes will occur: * Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing

• An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
• After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.

Please note the entire On-boarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.
