Rock Empire, a division of Crowsnest Quarry Inc., operates rock quarries north of Coleman, Alberta. We are a growing entity developing a product line that includes riprap, landscaping and feature rock, conglomerate, shale, and more.

Summary

As a Heavy Equipment Operator and Labourer, you will run a variety of types of equipment and perform a wide variety of tasks based on operational need. We are hiring casual positions at this time and hours are on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety processes and requirements. Operate mobile equipment, including grizzlies, screeners, trammels and baggers excavators, bulldozers, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities. Operate excavators, bulldozers, or other heavy equipment for road building, excavating of materials, brush clearing and reclamation activities, including access. Operate heavy equipment to move, load and unload cargo. Operate rock trucks. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment. Fulfill requirements of the labourer role.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating heavy machinery, specifically dozers, excavators, and loaders. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs. Knowledge of construction practices and safety regulations. Class 1 or 3 would be an asset, but is not required. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 60 per week
