As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic you will support the maintenance, repair and verification of a variety of trucks and oilfield servicing equipment including CVIP inspections.

A typical day:

Manage the scheduling and completion of regular scheduled and emergency repair and maintenance of trucks and oilfield servicing equipment.
/li
li
Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and complete all necessary repairs on company trucks, pumping equipment and off-road equipment.
/li
li
Maintain and update documents and reporting including work orders, annual permits, and other records.
/li
li
Provide excellent customer service.
/li
li
Provide guidance and instruction to the Operations division regarding mechanical issues and maintenance procedures.
/li
li
Mentor and participate in training Apprentices Heavy Equipment Technicians to a high standard.
/li
li
Perform field repairs as required.
/li
li
Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
/li

Requirements:

Journeyman On and Off Road Heavy Equipment Technician or equivalent.
/li
li
Valid drivers license with clean driving record (class 1 or 3 preferred).
/li
li
Able to work overtime, accommodate a flexible schedule, and travel to meet the needs of the business.
/li
li
Experience with Western Star Trucks preferred.
/li
li
Exposure to Detroit Diesel or Cummins engines preferred.
/li
li
Able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and a criminal background check.
/li
li
Self-starter, organized, able to prioritize and multitask.
/li
li
Oilfield experience and CVIP certification considered an asset.
/li
