We are hiring on behalf of our oil servicing client for On and Off Road Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The ideal candidate would be experienced with Western Star trucks, Cummins and Detroit Diesel engines.

A typical day:

Supervise the scheduling and execution of daily, monthly, and annual maintenance tasks for the fleet, ensuring timely completion of all vehicle and equipment maintenance or inspections in an efficient manner.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and perform necessary repairs on company trucks, pumping equipment, and off-road machinery.

Ensure the safe completion of all mechanical work.
/lili
Keep maintenance records, including work orders, annual permits, and other documentation.
/lili
Collaborate with Station Managers, Supervisors, Dispatch, and Apprentices to uphold operational and service standards, encompassing scheduled maintenance, equipment utilization, and allocation.

Provide guidance to the Operations division on mechanical issues and maintenance procedures.

Conduct field repairs as necessary.
/lili
Actively participate in the company\'s HSE program.

Requirements:

On and Off Road Journeyperson status in Alberta Heavy Equipment Technician, Saskatchewan Truck and Transport Mechanic, or State Automotive or Diesel Technology with some related experience.

Possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record. (Class 3 or Class 1 license preferred.)

Willingness to work overtime, adapt to a flexible schedule, and travel as needed for business requirements.

Mentor and train Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technicians to meet high standards.
/lili
Must be able to supply your own tools.
/lili
Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as well as a physical fitness test.

CVIP license preferred.
