Priestly Demolition is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. The position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic requires an energetic, results oriented individual who has the ability to prioritize and think on their feet. In this role you are a team player, with a positive attitude, who is reliable, safety conscious, willing to learn, demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be able to analyze, troubleshoot, dismantle, align, assemble and adjust mechanical equipment and machinery to maintain it in efficient operating condition. Work assignments will be received in the form of oral or written work orders, but the employee is expected to determine the nature and extent of needed repairs.

Job Duties
Provide vehicle troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs
Experience working with commercial equipment, machinery and vehicles
Installation of new and added-on equipment
Conduct first, second and third line repairs, modifications on vehicles
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs to municipal equipment in order to ensure that the equipment is available, reliable and safe to operate
Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues
Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies
Accurate completion of work orders and time cards
Test repaired equipment for proper performance
Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques
?Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations
Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules
Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision
Other mechanical repair work as required
Position Requirements
Requirements
o Completion of college/vocational or technical training
o Class 3 with Air
o Three years of experience as a Mechanic
o Possess a valid driver's license
o Proven mechanical abilities in gas and diesel automotive repairs
o Ability to work independently in a busy environment
o Experience with routine maintenance operations
o Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
o Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
o Able to work well under pressure
o Strong attention to detail
o Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
o Computer literate

o 24/7 availability may be required
o Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
o Travel to off-site locations may be required
o Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
