Commandeur Mechanical is a Heavy Duty and Automotive Repair facility conveniently located in the Crossroads North Industrial Park, 5 minutes north of the City of Grande Prairie. We specialize in Fleet Maintenance services, Heavy Truck, Trailer and Automotive Repairs.
Our company requires a Heavy Duty Truck and Equipment Technician with the knowledge and experience to service, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, adjust and overhaul heavy-duty equipment. We are looking to hire 1 permanent full time Heavy Duty Truck and Equipment Technician for our growing Heavy Duty Equipment repair facility.
Applicants must be thoroughly familiar with trucks, trailers and other heavy equipment and have the knowledge and skill to make repairs efficiently and properly.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, Diagnose and repair a variety of heavy trucks and trailers with efficiency and care.
Utilize schematics to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs or modifications.
Proactively maintain and operate repair shop equipment; ensure all tools are in optimal working condition
Participate in all necessary training to keep product knowledge current.
Interact with customers and fellow employees in a professional and courteous manner.
Perform all required tasks at an efficient level, while maintaining quality and a safe working environment
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, always adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.
Experience:
3-5 years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing Heavy Truck and Trailers; experience in a shop environment preferred
Other Skills:
Strong analytical skills with a commitment to problem-solving
Adaptable communication style, capable of engaging with diverse customers and team members.
Good general computer skills
Problem solves and finds solutions.
Must be able to work independently while also being an effective team player.
Good written and oral communication skills in English are required.
Valid class 5 driver's license and clean driving record
Education:
Adult Basic Education (ABE 12) Grade 12
Candidates must be registered with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training program
in Heavy Equipment Technician- Truck and Trailer .
Have or be able to obtain a valid CVIP ticket

• Apprentice Blue book (if not Journeyman) (preferred)
