Heavy Duty Mechanic

About the role

We are looking for Heavy Duty Mechanics (HDM) to join our operation. We have opportunities to join the team in both our underground and surface shops.

This position will be based in our FIFO camp at Lac de gras working on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational schedule. While working at our camp, you will be provided with flights to and from our approved pick-up points, accommodations, and access to our recreational facilities.

A typical day in the life of our HDMs will give you the opportunity to work on our heavy mobile equipment, such as:

• Atlas Copco: MT6020 haul trucks, ST14, ST18, ST1530 scoop trams, L8 drill
• Hitachi: 1200, 1900, 2600, 3600 shovels, Drilltech: D75 drills
• CAT: excavators, D10/D6 dozers, Komatsu: 785/830E haul trucks

You will also conduct equipment reviews to ensure new and existing equipment meet site safety standards and operational requirements; while assisting other trades persons to achieve Maintenance goals, as required.

About you

• Journeyperson certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Minimum one (1) year of experience working as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
