Company descriptionMalchuk Mobile is a local family owned business that specializes in breakdowns and emergencies, as well as the mobile maintenance and repairs of primarily heavy duty trucks and trailers.Job descriptionMalchuk Mobile is seeking a motivated and driven journeyman heavy duty mechanic and/or truck and trailer mechanic to work on-call out of a mobile service truck on a full-time basis, being okay with variable working hours and overtime. This opportunity also provides the option of working on other types of equipment, so other journeyman tickets (such as off-road) would be an asset.What are we looking for?

• Said individual should hold a journeyman ticket or the equivalent.
• 3+ years experience preferred.
• Must be willing to go the extra mile not only for us, but also for our customers.
• Must hold a good driving record and provide a clean drivers abstract.
• Must be willing to work on-call and during varied weather conditions, year round.
• They must be someone who is positive and strives for success, can brainstorm ideas, and problem solve in fast pace environments.
• Said individual must also be organized and be good at dealing with customers in both positive and negative situations.
• Previous experience on a service truck would be considered an asset.
• Must have their own tools and be willing to use said tools on a company provided service truck.
• Must be proficient in reading and writing.
• Must have a good work ethic and be willing to work overtime when needed.

• Must have diesel engine and driveline experience.
• Must be able to work unsupervised in a professional manner.
• Safety training (WHIMIS, Transportation Of Dangerous Goods, First Aid, etc.) preferred but not required.

• Must be able to answer and return phone calls, text messages, and emails in a professional, timely, manner.

Basic starting duties would include but are not limited to...

• working out of a mobile service truck/in customer's yards
• completing callouts on a 24 HR basis on specified days
• working rain, snow, or shine
• completing detailed service write ups
• organizing the service truck and service truck shop
• providing methodical and clean work
• sourcing and finding parts
• good time management
• utilizing GPS
• ensuring proper safety protocols and adhering to them
• be confident in diagnosing a variety of internal and external issues
• repairing and maintaining the company's service truck that you drive
