We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of heavy machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Duties

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment such as trucks, excavators, skid steer and other machinery. Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly and repair tasks. Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot issues using schematics. Operate heavy equipment as needed for testing and diagnostics. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.

Experience

Previous mechanic experience is essential, with a focus on heavy equipment repair. Dealership experience is a plus, particularly with brands such as Caterpillar. Familiarity with HVAC systems and automotive repair is advantageous. Proficiency in welding and the ability to perform heavy lifting as required. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using various tools and equipment. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes. Experience in customer service to interact positively with clients regarding their equipment needs.
