Position Overview:
Finning Canada is seeking Field experienced Journeypersons Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our industry leading team at the Artemis Blackwater Mine on a 14 x 14 Continuous Shift rotation. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair and rebuilds on a variety of CAT equipment such as 793 Haul Trucks, 6015, 6040 and 6060 Shovels, D9 and D10 dozers, 395 Excavators, and 18 Graders.

:Major Job Functions Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment in an active Mine environment Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes) Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement*
Specific Skills & Experience
Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification Valid driver's license with a successful recent drivers abstract 10+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience Recommended Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines would be considered an asset Notes: This is a site position, located at Artemis Mine Site on a 14 x 14 continuous shift rotation Customer Camp Accommodations is provided Travel Allowance applicable A condition of employment is the ability to wear a respirator and obtain Customer Site access Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
