Position: Healthy Start Site Coordinator (Supply)

Reports to: CPNP/CAPC Manager

Location: Healthy Start Programs

Job Summary



The Healthy Start Site Coordinator is responsible for operation of Healthy Start programs and the delivery of high-quality services to the clients.

Duties and Responsibilities



Purchase food and supplies for snacks/meals within provided budget Prepare food for prenatal mothers as well as oversee preparation of snacks for child minding program Responsible for complete set-up and take-down of the child minding and presentation rooms/areas Ensure facilities and resources are safe, clean and well maintained Distribute and document distribution of grocery cards, bus tickets, hospital packages and food bags according to agency procedures Monitor supplies of above items and order supplies as per outlined requirements Reconcile the number of supplies received and distributed at each site for month end Complete administrative tasks, including accurate completion of time sheets, communication logs, expense forms Submit electronic attendance records after each program Host online prenatal/postnatal programs, including greeting clients, documenting attendance, grocery card records, and monitoring client participation within the program Provide accurate bi-weekly payroll information to the Manager Provide monthly Site Coordinator Report(s) to the Manager by the deadline Attend Site Coordinator meetings and any other meetings that are requested by the Manager Work with the Manager to develop programs that meet the ongoing needs of clients Oversee implementation of children's program including ensuring a curriculum for the children is followed to stimulate child development through toys, games, singing, reading, crafts, free play and other activities Greet and provide information to clients in a friendly and compassionate manner Provide emotional support, information and role modelling for parents and caregivers raising young children Observe children and caregivers for signs of early learning and/or emotional difficulties and provide appropriate referrals Ensure cultural sensitivity and client confidentiality are preserved at all times Provide support and direction to students and volunteers Work as part of a team with other staff members and volunteers Evaluate program success, report and periodically review with the Manager Perform administrative duties as required Work with program partners to meet the goals of the program Respond to any additional funder requirements as directed by the Manager At all times ensure promotion of the program and BridgeWay Family Centre Participate in special projects and outreach events as determined from time to time Participate on committees, in meeting and attend training both on-site and off-site as directed by the Manager/Executive Director

Qualifications



Experience in Social Services sector or experience working with families at risk Degree/diploma in related field an asset Emergency First Aid/CPR B or C certification Up to date Vulnerable Sector Check Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Possess knowledge of child and family development Ability to work some flexible hours Additional languages an asset

Supply *This is a supply-only position, on an as-needed basis, and does not include regular or guaranteed shifts.

Starting Salary:

$23.35 Actual salary is determined by assessing related skills, experience and internal equity
