Job Responsibilities:

Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team Carry out all security duties as specified (including, but not limited to): + Proactive/reactive interior & exterior patrols + Response & assistance in emergency situations
+ Documenting & reporting of any/all security events on shift
+ Investigate routine incidents
+ Patient watches
+ Parking & smoking by-law enforcement
+ Hospital policy awareness & enforcement
+ Access control/key control
+ Monthly safety inspections
+ Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provide Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination) A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2) Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V and Pertussis immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position. + Steps to get your immunization records:

Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding) Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months English proficiency (oral & written) is required Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe + Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position + Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
