Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Executive Director Health Services, Western Zone the Director in collaboration with department heads and Site Medical Leads is responsible for strategic and operational planning, management and leadership of programs/services assigned to the position to ensure care is integrated and reflects best practice evidenced based standards.Working with the physician leaders, this position enables and supports the integrated approach to emergency care services across the zone, contributes to the development of operational plan; and oversees execution of operational plans that support excellence in care delivery, improvement in health outcomes, and achievement of standards of care established by the Department of Health and Wellness.The Director of Health Services ensures continuous improvement to advance a vision of academic excellence within the provision of care and is responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of quality management and safety programs, and compliance with relevant standards and accreditation requirements. The Director facilitates and champions a learning and research environment that aligns with the current and proposed future state of Nova Scotia Health.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Master\'s Degree in a health-related discipline, health administration, business administration or related subject. Combination of equivalent experience and education may be consideredRegistration with relevant health or professional discipline/college or associationCertified Health Executive designation an assetFive (5) to seven (7) years of relevant leadership/management experience with progressive accountabilities for financial, strategic and people management to deliver high quality services within a within a complex, integrated service model provided throughout several locations with multiple partners and stakeholdersExcellent leadership, relationship building, organizational and decision skills in support of patient, family and client centred servicesExpert knowledge to critically analyze evidence-based practices to inform strategy development and organizational planningDemonstrated skill in strategic planning and systems thinkingAbility to build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with stakeholdersExpertise in financial planningEvidence-based collaborative problem solving of complex multifaceted issuesCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferred * Demonstrated cultural competencePlease ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.Hours
