Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Health Services Coordinator to join our team in North York, Ontario. In this role, you will primarily deal with travel insurance claims, ensuring smooth facilitation of cases from start to finish. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities

• Efficiently handle incoming calls and faxes, providing prompt and courteous service to all clients.
• Input client information into our system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
• Coordinate the entire process of client cases, from the opening to the closure.
• Provide assistance to international students navigating emergency room visits and other healthcare services.
• Use your knowledge of medical terminology and administrative skills to effectively perform your duties.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, displaying empathy when dealing with clients.
• Prioritize client service, ensuring all interactions are handled professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all client interactions and case details.
• Utilize various computer programs and CRM tools in your daily tasks, including Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and EHR SYSTEM.
• Perform billing functions and authorizations as necessary, adhering to all relevant guidelines and procedures.
• Proficiency in health-related computer programs such as Allscripts and Cerner Technologies.
• Demonstrable experience with CRM software.
• Familiarity and comfortable usage of EHR SYSTEM.
• Exceptional ability to handle and respond to answering inbound calls.
• Experience with authorizations within a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of benefit functions, including the ability to explain these to patients or their families.
• Proficiency in billing functions within a healthcare environment.
• Previous experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
