The Health, Safety, Security and Wellbeing Lead will foster a positive safety culture by engaging employees, developing, and implementing occupational health, safety and wellbeing initiatives and delivery of technical and consultive safety support to the project.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for implementation and maintenance of the project specific HSSW management plan.
Coordination of HSSW processes with all workplace parties, including the Client and any subcontractors.
Development of risk assessments and controls for work tasks both field and office.
Management of the health, safety and wellbeing training function.
Lead the incident management process, including emergency response planning, reporting and investigation processes.
Perform inspections and audits, as required
Collaborate with project stakeholders to track and report out on HSSW objectives and key performance indicators to facilitate performance reporting.
Prepare and present as required, any reports and updates to leadership.
Qualifications
Qualifications :
5+ years of OHS experience, preferably on large-scale projects.
Candidates must possess a health and safety related certification (e.g. CRST, CRSP).
Strong knowledge of Ontario OHS Act and Regulations.
Previous experience in civil engineering projects
Skills & Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization and coordination skills
Experience in delivering HSSW initiatives and training
Experience in implementing occupational health and safety programs
Proficient in Microsoft Office
