A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role or in related industries
Must be an adept communicator, willing to share experience and knowledge, capable of mentoring and leading management and workers to HSE due diligence using a collaborative and flexible approach
Minimum of good understanding of provincial regulations and other regulatory authorities
Previous experience in WCB applications, E&SRTW program implementation
Comprehensive agriculture & industrial experience is a must, previous experience with heavy equipment activities
Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of various training applications such as audit protocols, thorough incident investigation protocols, in-depth corporate auditing experience, knowledge of related environmental protocols preferred
Knowledge of EHS related legislation, provincial and others as applicable
Abilities:

Both office and outdoor activities related to agriculture and industrial establishments site work environments. Ability to work in inclement weather conditions and some travel may be required.T he HSE Coordinator is responsible for the following duties:
Coordinates and implements all aspects of the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) as it applies to various site activities in accordance with the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and applicable Regulations and other regulatory agencies
Works cooperatively with all management and operations staff to promote an HSE culture
Creates continuous improvements and is proactive HSE management cycle
Ensures health and safety is considered in the performance of all activities; adapting to various work environments and business activity
Communicates all-important HSE related matters immediately to the HSE & Compliance Manager & the Site-Specific Mgmt. Team
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates, reads, revises and understands, follows the Change AG's, HSMS, including all applicable policies and procedures
Ensures health and safety is considered in the performance of all site-specific activities
Participation in HSE initiatives will be monitored and reviewed as necessary
Ensure HSE compliance with applicable Provincial Legislation, Acts, Codes and Regulations
Make recommendations on site-specific HSE program protocols, Safe Work Procedures, etc.
Complete & update, distribute the site-specific health and safety related documentation as required
Assist in developing and delivering required site-specific training programs as may be required
Assist Operations in the New Employee Orientation & onboarding process
Assist the General Manager in maintaining HSE records for the worksite as necessary
Complete regular site inspections and audits assigned as per internal protocol and established schedules
Immediately report all workplace injuries to the HSE & Compliance Manager, General Manager
Complete all duties assigned by the HSE & Compliance Manager, General Manager in a timely fashion
Manage the daily health and safety activities related to administration and field work
Network with all internal and external stakeholders to promote the Change AG health and safety culture
Proactively share HSE information to enhance and maintain safety awareness
Coordinate/participate in various health and safety meetings and other site-specific activities
Participate in all site-specific injury investigations, reporting and all follow-up as required
Assist Operations to coordinate the Early and Safe Return to Work Program as required
Work collaboratively with all Change AG business divisions in any HSE matter as assigned or as requested
Present health and safety concerns to management and operations and assist in the problem-solving process
Other activities or responsibilities as requested by the HSE & Compliance Manager, General Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Post-secondary education in a related discipline preferred or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience
Knowledge of Agriculture and Industrial Establishments is beneficial
Occupational Certification:
NCSO, GSC, CHSC, CRSP designation or equivalent are required
First Aid & CPR Training (current)
WHMIS-2015 (current)
Working at Heights/Fall Protection
Confined Space (Awareness, Entrant, Rescue)
Train the Trainer experience
Valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract is a must, travel & work out of town
