Responsibilities

Health & Safety

Actively participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC). Develop and implement safety programs tailored to agricultural, trucking, and retail operations. Train employees on safe work procedures, and emergency protocols. Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, incidents Maintain compliance with Ontario Occupational Health & Safety regulations. Track and maintain safety records and training logs. Promote a safety-first culture by actively engaging employees and supervisors in continuous improvement.

HR Support

Assist with employee onboarding and orientation, including health and safety procedures. Support return-to-work programs and workplace accommodation processes. Help communicate HR policies and procedures across departments. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all employee matters. Collaborate with HR on employee communications related to safety, training, and compliance.

Qualifications

Understanding of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA). HR experience or exposure to human resources processes is an asset. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to deliver training and communicate effectively at all levels. Agricultural experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Valid Ontario driver's license and ability to travel.
