Reporting directly to the Director of Administration, you will act as a leader in HSE programs and initiatives while fostering teamwork and collaboration amongst your team.

What You\'ll Do:

As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will be supporting the management and maintenance of the Health, Safety and Environmental systems. Your duties will include:

  • Periodically evaluating jobsite, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Leading the development of the safety training program along with maintenance of the Site Safety Plans
  • Managing HSE Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and subcontractor management programs
  • Assist Project Managers in development of project HSE plans and providing support to Regional Managers and General Superintendents
  • Assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) along with reviewing/maintaining emergency response plans and procedures
  • Develop materials for and conduct new employee health and safety orientations
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as data entry and forms management
What You Bring:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in construction or similar industry
  • HSE Certification or CRSP designation or in the process of obtaining one
  • COR Internal Auditor certification
  • ISO 9000 certificate is an asset
  • NHSA schooling or certification is an asset
  • Experience with Health & Safety software (Salus, SiteDocs, WorkHub, EHS Insight or Intelex, ISN)
