Overview
Queer Yukon is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Health Navigator with clinical expertise to support 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and families in making informed healthcare decisions. This is a clinical role involving seeing clients, providing guidance for clients and providers, advocating for clients needs, working in close collaboration with other health navigators, and supporting programming such as blood work clinics, etc. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of 2SLGBTQIA+ healthcare needs, including trans-related healthcare, and will work to advance clients\' safety, agency, and informed consent.
The Clinical position requires the ability to comprehend and interpret medical information, along with a proven track record of supporting clients through difficult decisions. This is a part-time role suitable for a ACP/CCP, registered nurse, or an individual with equivalent firsthand experience.
Duration of contract: 1 year with possibility of renewal.
Location: Whitehorse preferred, remote work from other Yukon communities will be considered. Must live in the Yukon.
Hours: Part-time / negotiable hours per week
Wage: $3,600/Month

Equipment: Employees will be provided necessary equipment to complete tasks. A laptop & phone will be provided.
