Job Description

We are seeking an Intern for an eight-month term to support and work closely with members of the Health Innovation group and other corporate groups at Alberta Innovates on a variety of projects to drive impactful results for Alberta. The successful candidate will conduct literature searches, conduct data analyses, synthesize project summaries, support public facing workshops and events, have opportunities to participate in stakeholder engagements, and contribute to increasing the awareness of health investment impacts to Alberta.We are game changers

Job DetailsMain responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Write content for various purposes (including reports, stories, and presentations) to convey the importance of the work being done by our investees.
Assist the Health Innovation team members with the review of reports from investees and provide input on any issues that may arise. Draft new program material for various investment projects and assist at various events.
Work with colleagues across the corporation to conduct research and analyze portfolio data.
Conduct environmental / jurisdictional scans related to cutting edge trends in health innovation and ecosystem supports.Qualifications and skills we are looking for:
Current enrolment in or a recent graduate of a degree or diploma program in a related field such as life sciences, public health, or business
Knowledge of health / life sciences, innovation, technology, and marketing
Working knowledge of data visualization techniques and software preferred
Strong experience in science writing for lay audiences
Excellent writing and editing skills
Literature / data research and analysis skills
Creativity and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Disciplined, coachable, and resilient
Ability to work independently
Innovative and energetic
Ability to present ideas effectively
Confident, solutions-driven, adaptable
Communications and interpersonal skills
