OverviewThe Health Benefits Unit and Payment Services team within the Health Care Operations department of WorkSafeBC are looking for four highly motivated Health Care Payment Officer to join our team to help us strive towards our vision.In this role, youll be calculating payments, therefore, sound math skills will be an asset to assist you with adjudicating and processing accounts for medical treatment expenses. Your exemplary communication skills and diplomacy are essential to ensure courteous, empathetic service when providing information and recommendations to injured workers and other connections.How youll make a difference: Youll help protect the financial integrity of B.C.s workers compensation system, ensuring we serve British Columbians now and in the future.Where youll workAt WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.In this role, youll work primarily from your B.C. home and be on-site occassionally at our Richmond office or based on operational needs. Please note that training will be conducted on-site.What you'll do

• Entitle and process health care benefits and travel arrangements for injured workers
• Process invoices and answer inquiries from health care providers, vendors, and workers
• Communicate with claimants, internal staff, physicians, hospitals, etc., to obtain or clarify payment information
• Authorize and process health care expenditures on a variety of payment systems

Your background and experience

• A minimum of grade 12 education
• Experience with Excel
