OverviewThe Payment Services team within the Health Care Operations department of WorkSafeBC is looking for a highly motivated Health Care Payment Officers to join our team to help us strive towards our vision.In this role, youxe2x80x99ll be calculating payments, therefore, sound math skills will be an asset to assist you with adjudicating and processing accounts for medical treatment expenses. • Entitle and process health care benefits and travel arrangements for injured workers
• Process invoices and answer inquiries from health care providers, vendors, and workers
• Communicate with claimants, internal staff, physicians, hospitals, etc., to obtain or clarify payment information
• Authorize and process health care expenditures on a variety of payment systems

• Clearly, concisely, and accurately explain complex information both verbally and in writing

Your background and experience

• A minimum of grade 12 education (some post-secondary education is preferred)
• Recent work experience in an administrative or general office/business environment
• Experience working in a call center is an asset
• General working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Extra 4% of your salary in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation from the day you start

Once youxe2x80x99ve worked a certain number of hours (approximately 12 months), youxe2x80x99ll switch to getting:
