In support of the Mission, Vision and Values of The Good Samaritan Society and Good Samaritan Canada ("Good Samaritan" or "GS"), the Multi-Skilled Worker (MSW) works collaboratively with members of a multi-disciplinary team in the provision of a range of care and services supporting resident care needs and activities of daily living including personal care, recreation, medication administration, food services, housekeeping and laundry. The MSW performs their work in a manner to provide a positive and safe daily living experience for each resident, work performed in accordance with the resident's care plan, standards, regulations and Good Samaritan's "Being and Belonging" model of care.
Good Samaritan's vision of "Being and Belonging - Every Person, Every Home" this vision comes to life every day through our model of care--every person, in every home, experiencing what it means to both 'be' themselves and to truly 'belong.' It ensures that every resident, client, volunteer, and staff member experiences a home-like environment where they are known and valued. The MSW approaches residents with respect for a resident's choice, dignity, privacy, independence, spirituality and individuality within a home environment. The MSW works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and is accountable to the Clinical Services Lead.
