We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, delivering, and overseeing health and safety training programs tailored to our manufacturing environment. Your expertise will help promote a culture of safety, ensure compliance with industry standards, and reduce workplace incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes and training & development, with a passion for educating others on best safety practices.
Responsibilities
Design and implement comprehensive health and safety training programs for new and existing employees within the manufacturing setting.
Conduct engaging training sessions, workshops, and seminars to educate staff on safety protocols, hazard recognition, and emergency procedures.
Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback, making improvements as necessary.
Collaborate with management to identify safety risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and safety incidents for reporting purposes.
Stay current with industry regulations, best practices, and emerging trends in health and safety standards.
Experience
Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of industry-specific safety challenges.
Prior experience in training & development or instructional roles is highly desirable.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
Demonstrated ability to develop educational materials and deliver impactful training sessions.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
