is looking for a
Health and Safety Prevention Specialist
for our offices in
Ville St-Laurent, Montreal, QC
.
Reporting to the Director of Occupational Health and Safety, your role will be to identify and analyze prevention-related issues across all Canadian divisions. You will be the main resource for developing, communicating, and monitoring the implementation of health and safety policies. You will also be responsible for ensuring that preventive operational actions are understood and promoted by the various divisions within the group.
More specifically, your main responsibilities will include:
Participating in the development, deployment, and revision of health and safety processes, policies, programs, and tools. Ensuring compliance at the national level across Canada.
Organizing and conducting health and safety audits to identify non-compliance issues. Developing reports, presenting findings, and following up on actions with participating divisions.
Coordinating and facilitating the deployment and follow-up of training activities related to health and safety.
Collaborating on health and safety case management with a team of HR business partners across North America.
Developing and updating health and safety dashboards. Using data to assess performance and recommend actions based on identified gaps.
Acting as a cultural change agent in health and safety--mobilizing teams through a participative leadership model. Participating in cross-functional teams to implement projects related to cultural and operational change in health and safety.
Recommending and optimizing processes to promote the adoption of best health and safety practices.
Minimum Requirements:
A university degree in Human Resources or a related field, with a specialization in Health & Safety (an asset).
At least two significant professional experiences in health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment operating across North America.
Knowledge of the North American legal context in health and safety.
Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
Strong communication skills, including comfort speaking in front of large groups.
Strong digital skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
