Health And Safety Coordinator (civil Construction)

Langley, BC, CA, Canada

Job Description

Health and Safey Coordinator - Keeping Our Underground Work Safe and Smart!

We're looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator who gets what it means to work underground - around trenches, utilities, and heavy equipment - and knows that safety isn't about paperwork, it's about people.

Someone who understands that safety isn't about policing - it's about people. The kind of person who can walk on site, have a real conversation, and build trust with crews because you've been there, you get it, and you actually listen.

Our work is all about what happens underground - utilities, trenching, pipe laying, and everything that goes with it. You'll be out on site helping our teams plan, problem-solve, and work safely in the toughest conditions. You'll support supervisors, guide new hires, and help improve how we do things every day - not by enforcing rules, but by working with people to make them stick.

This isn't a clipboard job. You'll be part of the crew - balancing safety with production, keeping things moving, and making sure everyone goes home safe.

Why join us?

Build relationships that make a real difference Be part of a team that takes pride in doing things right - both in the ground and above it Split your time between field and office (no two days the same) Work alongside experienced operators and crews who value safety as much as production Competitive pay, great benefits, and real opportunities to grow in safety and construction

What you bring:

Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred Minimum of 3 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in civil construction Knowledge of civil construction activities (earthworks, utilities, roadwork, heavy equipment, excavation). Strong understanding of applicable provincial/federal Occupational Health & Safety regulations. Valid First Aid and other relevant safety certifications (e.g., confined space, WHMIS, fall protection, fit testing, ground disturbance). Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sitemax. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
If you believe that strong relationships build safe sites - and you're ready to be part of a team that cares about keeping people safe, understands how underground work really happens, and want to make an impact you can see every day - we want to hear from you.
