Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for a passionate Health and Safety Coordinator to help keep our teams protected while delivering top-quality civil construction projects.
What You'll Do:
Develop, implement, and lead site-specific health and safety plans and initiatives and enforce compliance with regulations.
Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations.
Deliver and track safety training, toolbox talks, and mentorship to employees and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local safety regulations.
Track, report, and improve safety performance across all projects.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, near-misses, inspections, and safety training
Support project teams in implementing corrective actions for safety concerns
Collaborate with management to develop and implement emergency response plans.
Champion a safety-first culture and support management in continuous improvement efforts.
What We're Looking For:
Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in health and safety within civil construction or a similar industry.
Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and legislation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Key Competencies:

Proactive and solution-oriented approach to safety issues.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership skills to influence and motivate site personnel on safety matters.
