Job Description

The Fickle Fig is looking for experienced, professional and dedicated team players with outstanding baking and technical skills to join our expanding team.

As an experienced baker with enthusiasm and a passion for quality food you will work directly next to our strong management team, and will be responsible for ensuring preparation, cooking, taste and presentation are consistently of a high standard. We have three locations, one in North Saanich, one in the heart of downtown Sidney, BC, and one in The Victoria International Airport.

This is a daytime position, with some flexibility in hours worked. Shifts are 8.5 hours long with a 30 minute break, meal included with each shift, and flexible morning start time.

The position entails creating and executing a standard menu of bars, brownies, and cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and adding more menu items as you become comfortable. Scheduling, ordering, hiring, and attending manager meetings. Meeting sales targets

Wage $25/hr to start, with tips, benefits after 3 months and manager bonus structure after 1 year.

Skills and experience required:
-At least 3 years of commercial baking experience - required.
-Efficient working ethic.
-High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
-Positive and dynamic personality with the ability to work under pressure.
-Be able to work independently
-Be willing and eager to learn.
-Use creativity and ingenuity.
-Be a problem solver.

Successful candidates must complete a paid probationary period of three months.
