Tasks As the Head of Public Affairs, you will be entrusted with a spectrum of responsibilities, including:
Develop and execute a comprehensive public affairs and public relations strategy aligned with the company's overall mission and business objectives
Serve as a senior advisor to the CEO on communications, reputation, and policy matters
Oversee contracts with external vendors to support GR and PR
Build and maintain strong relationships with media and industry stakeholders
Manage communications with key stakeholders including investors, customers, partners, and community leaders
Develop and lead the organization's government affairs strategy to influence public policy in line with business goals
Build and maintain relationships with local, provincial, and federal policymakers, regulators, and government agencies
Perform additional tasks as assigned

Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:
Bachelor's in Political Science or Communications plus MPA, MBA, Public Affairs, or double major in Communications & Political Science required
10+ years in public affairs, strategic communications, or related roles, with a strong track record of managing complex, high-profile issues
5-8+ years of hands-on media relations, including crisis communications and reputation management
7-10+ years in government relations, policy advocacy, and regulatory engagement at local, national, and/or international levels
7-10+ years building relationships with government, media, NGOs, and industry bodies
Fluent in English language required
Willing to work abroad and travel frequently
Must possess a legal work permit in Canada
