Workplace Arrangements:
This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office throughout the month (2-5 times/month depending on business needs).

What You'll Be Doing
Lead the financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting process to support the effective operation of the business in pursuit of achieving its desired strategic outcomes.
Provide financial decision support to business leaders to identify value drivers, forecast and measure benefits and KPI's and support requests for capital.
Oversee the policy and controls regarding a non-merchandise procurement framework for services and "goods not for resale" that reduce risks, create efficiencies in procurement efforts and maximize long term enterprise value.
Maintain a framework to identify, prioritize, monitor, address and report on risks to the Enterprise's ability to achieve its strategic objectives.
Lead the Treasury function to ensure Giant Tiger's cash flows are optimized within the parameters of the annual operating plan. Maximize short term investment returns in accordance with Treasury Policy while maintaining sufficient liquidity for the organization.
Manage external relationships with financial stakeholders ( including Banks) to ensure compliance
Oversee indirect tax obligations and compliance across legal entities. Balance in-house and third-party resources to address strategic and transactional tax activities
Oversee the optimization of the use of Finance IS systems so that they are secure and operating to provide the business with financial management, monitoring and reporting tools.
Oversee the insurance program to safeguard business assets and minimize exceptional losses.
What You'll Bring
10 years' experience in financial management.
5 years' experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
Post Secondary Degree.
Professional accounting designation and/or MBA.
A proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and executives, earning trust through sound judgment, clear communication, and strategic insight.
A track record of driving efficiency and continuous improvement -- simplifying processes, enhancing accuracy, and finding smarter ways of working.
Solid understanding of treasury management.
Exposure to insurance programs and indirect tax within a corporate environment, ensuring compliance while optimizing value.
A people-first leadership style -- you coach, develop, and empower your team to deliver high performance and growth.
Assets You May Have
Bilingual in FR and EN.
