Head of Finance and Support - Bolton, ON

Job Summary:

The Head of Finance and Support for Our Canada Operations will lead and oversee all financial operations of the corporation, encompassing various legal entities of the Group in Canada. This role, based in Bolton, Ontario, reports to the Our Client Canada\'s CEO.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise the accounting and controlling departments.

Manage quarterly and year-end closing activities and maintain relationships with auditors.

Oversee IT operations for Canadian operations.

Serve as a member of the Fiduciary Committee responsible for overseeing RRSPs.

Support and lead financial decision-making regarding real estate, including property transactions, lease agreements, and construction contract management.

Manage facility operations.

Collaborate with department heads to monitor financial performance and provide recommendations.

Fulfill other responsibilities as required throughout the year.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, real estate reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.

Coach and develop the finance team, conduct succession planning, and analyze team risks.

Lead property transactions, including buying, selling, and leasing, while managing financial aspects of contracts with property contractors.

Foster collaboration and team building across departments to ensure cohesive operations.

Conduct in-depth financial analyses of profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet, including CAPEX, and prepare budgets and forecasts accordingly.

Review planning processes and recommend improvements.

Coordinate planning with Executive Leadership of Our Client Canada and other executives to establish priorities.

Analyze long-range economic trends and predict their impact on future sales and market share growth.

Collaborate with the C-suite/Executive Leadership to promote culture development.

Work with global organization functions on finance areas, including treasury, budgeting, investment planning, and financial reporting.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong management and supervisory skills.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Proficiency in database and accounting computer applications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High emotional and social intelligence.

Proficiency in SAP preferred.

Education and Experience:

Master\'s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance required.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.

Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer.

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
