Position: Head of AI
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite)

They're seeking a Head of AI to lead a world-class team of scientists and engineers focused on advancing the state of AI in areas such as computer vision, generative AI, natural language processing, and 3D simulation. This is a rare opportunity to shape groundbreaking research that blends creativity, science, and large-scale product impact.
Your new role:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of AI/ML researchers, driving innovation across multiple product lines.
- Develop and execute a forward-looking AI research roadmap aligned with strategic business goals.
- Guide the exploration of transformative AI technologies - from diffusion models and transformers to multimodal generative models.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and R&D teams to translate research into real-world applications.
- Represent the company within the AI research community - contributing to papers, patents, and thought leadership.
What you bring:
- PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in AI research, with proven leadership of technical teams.
- Deep expertise in machine learning, computer vision, NLP, and/or generative AI.
- Strong publication record (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, or equivalent).
- Ability to communicate complex research concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
