We are seeking a Head Cook to join our dynamic team at Edo Japan. Located in Canada, this role is pivotal in ensuring our customers enjoy authentic Japanese flavors through expertly prepared dishes. As a Head Cook, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to quality and freshness.

Responsibilities

Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high-quality standards. Manage kitchen staff and coordinate daily operations effectively. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Train and mentor kitchen staff on best practices and techniques. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Maintain consistency in food presentation and taste across all dishes. Address any customer feedback regarding food quality promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a cook or chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Excellent cooking skills with an emphasis on Japanese cuisine preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership skills with experience managing kitchen staff. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Familiarity with inventory management and cost control practices is an asset.
