Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety, and provide exceptional service to our guests. This leadership role requires a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food management, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and camper satisfaction. The Head Cook will play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring smooth kitchen workflows.

Duties

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service Oversee meal preparation, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served Manage food handling procedures in compliance with food safety regulations Coordinate with the team to plan menus and develop new recipes Ensure proper food storage, sanitation, and cleanliness of the kitchen area Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed Train new staff on food safety standards, cooking techniques, and service protocols Uphold all health and safety standards within the kitchen environment

Experience

Proven experience in food service, restaurant/food management, or a similar role within the food industry Strong background in serving, food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly Experience with food handling procedures and maintaining food safety standards Prior kitchen experience including supervising or managing culinary teams is preferred Knowledge of restaurant/camp operations, including inventory management and staff training Familiarity with health regulations related to the food industry is essential

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 12 weeks

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
