Program Manager / Head Coach \xe2\x80\x93 City Hoops Job Overview As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the City Hoops youth basketball program, ensuring a high standard in programming, customer service, health and safety, and reporting is being delivered by all full-time and part-time program staff. This is an administrative position and on court position requiring strong interpersonal, leadership, written and verbal communication skills as well as a willingness to learn and train while on the job. The successful candidate will be the \xe2\x80\x9cface\xe2\x80\x9d of the program. There is a Toronto location and we will be adding a second location in Mississauga in September 2023. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee development, launch, implementation, and reporting of the program based on timelines, budgets, and needs of RMI and the management team.
  • Coordinate program schedule and sessions ensuring safety and progressive development of players.
  • Perform program administration tasks, including being responsible for tracking program related budgets, managing member accounts and payment schedules, and maintaining program standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage all staff training and scheduling, including coaches, referees, etc.
  • Act as primary contact and maintain strong, positive working relationships with for all program stakeholders, including participants, parents, school administrators and teachers.
  • Work with management team to assist in the revamp and maintenance of program-related websites and social media accounts
  • Manage creation and development of marketing plans and materials in conjunction with management team.
  • Take lead role in implementing and managing program sponsorship initiatives
  • Oversee day-of operations ensuring all sessions are problem-free and managing any player or parent discipline needs.
  • Attend management meetings weekly or as required.
  • Perform facility related tasks as scheduled, including cleaning, ordering supplies and equipment, performing front desk reception duties, and assisting with dome up/down at RMI facilities.
  • Special projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience The position requires the following qualifications:
  • Business, Sport/Recreation, Early Childhood Education, or other relevant post-secondary diploma/degree
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role, managing full-time staff and part-time staff
  • Basketball background and passion is a must
  • Certifications in First Aid/CPR are required; NCCP, High Five are assets
  • A clear vulnerable sector check is required
Work Schedule Work schedule will be flexible, however the Program Manager / Head Coach must be on-site during core program hours, Monday-Sunday, September-June between 5pm-10pm and July-August from approximately 8:30am-4:30pm when programs launch and to ensure that programs are running smoothly.. Must also be available for weekly management meetings.. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year Benefits:
