We are looking for a Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in our brand new location downtown! Located in the historic Redline building this is a unique opportunity to develop a small menu with local flair, that features and pairs with our craft beer. We are looking for someone who is excited about the craft beer industry and has a passion for creating damn good food!Job OverviewThe Head Chef is responsible for the planning and coordination of all activities in the kitchen. This includes but is not limited to ensuring all kitchen goals are met, as it relates to food quality, ingredient sourcing, kitchen revenue and budgeting, along with managing kitchen staff.They will also maintain a safe work environment, schedule maintenance work on kitchen equipment, and regularly update management on production/budget goals and staff performance.Responsibilities and Duties

  • To develop a menu that speaks to the core values of High Key Brewing Corp. Including creative monthly/seasonal items that incorporate beer/beer byproducts and make use of fresh, local ingredients when possible
  • Overall responsibility for the kitchen's daily operations; ensuring promptness, freshness, and quality of all dishes served
  • Forecast ingredient levels, costing, and ensuring all purchases come within budget. Standardizing menu costing procedure for each dish and maintaining/raising the food's profit margins. Ensuring we are within guidelines for wastage, stock holding, and profitability
  • Interviewing and hiring new staff. Engaging with your team and the rest of management to achieve the company targets and striving for the best stock results.
  • Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are met and adhered to by all staff. Implement and enforce HK specific policies and procedures to improve operational standards
  • Coordinating with the Taproom Manager/President for private events, public events, and corresponding menus
