Job Description

Queens Cross Pub, an iconic neighbourhood pub operating since 1979, is looking for a Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in a fun, fast-paced, and community-focused environment.

We're looking for someone hands-on, organized, and collaborative who enjoys leading by example and building a positive kitchen culture.

Responsibilities



Lead, train, and support kitchen staff Oversee daily operations: prep, service, cleaning, closing Plan and execute consistent, high-quality pub-style dishes Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships Monitor food costing, waste, and labour targets Ensure all Food Safe protocols and kitchen standards are met Work closely with management on specials and features

Qualifications



Previous experience as a

Sous Chef or Head Chef

Strong leadership and communication skills Proven ability to manage food costs and kitchen operations Comfortable in a smaller kitchen with a tight-knit team Positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude

Compensation & Benefits



$55,000-$60,000/year + tip share
